Payments and Refund Policy

These terms and conditions apply to all transactions made on the Smartlearning website. Smartlearning reserves the right to offer refunds at its discretion. Except as described in this Refund Policy or as explicitly stated as part of the sign-up process for a Service, Smartlearning has no obligation to provide refunds or vouchers for any other Services.


We occasionally run promotions and sales for our content, during which certain content is available at discounted prices for a set period. The price applicable to the content will be the price when you complete your purchase (at checkout).


You agree to pay the fees for content that you purchase, and you authorize us to charge your debit or credit card or process other means of payment (such as direct debit, or mobile wallet etc) for those fees. Smartlearning works with our payment service provider to offer you the most convenient payment methods in your country and to keep your payment information secure. We may update your payment methods using information provided by our payment service provider. When you make a purchase, you agree not to use an invalid or unauthorized payment method. If your payment method fails and you still get access to the content you are enrolling in, you agree to pay us the corresponding fees within 30 days of our notification. We reserve the right to disable access to any content for which we have not received adequate payment.


Please refer to the information below for details on our refund and cancellation policies. Please note that our policies may differ between offerings, and payment options may vary. Please also note that we treat violations of our Terms of Use and Privacy Notice very seriously, and we have no obligation to offer refunds to users who violate these or other Smartlearning policies, even if their requests are made within the designated refund period. Similarly, we are not obligated to offer late refunds to users who request a refund after the 14-day designated refund period, have logged into the training, or have already received the course materials. Once you have earned a course certificate with your payment, you are not eligible for a refund, even if it is within 14 days. If you do not earn your course certificate within 180 days, your registration will expire and you must pay to re-register for the course. Please read these Terms carefully and make sure you understand them before ordering anything from our website. We will also notify you at the point of purchase if any additional terms and conditions apply to any specific contract between us.

Users Right of Withdrawal

In addition to the refund policies set forth above, if you have a right of withdrawal under the relevant laws in your country, including any applicable European Union laws, then:

  • You have a right of withdrawal for a period of 14 days. You may withdraw your contract with Smartlearning for the Services without giving any reason or incurring any costs other than those provided in this clause.
  • The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day that your contract was concluded. However, you do not have a right of withdrawal;
    1. If the Services have already been fully performed with your prior express consent and with your acknowledgement that you will lose your right of withdrawal once the Services have been performed by us or
    2. If the Services have begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you will lose your right of withdrawal upon beginning use of the Services.
    3. If you have completed (or attempted to complete) the purchased course or training.
    4. If you’ve consumed a significant portion of the purchased course(s) or training contents that you want to refund.
    5. If we ban your account or disable your access to the content due to your violation of these Terms or our Trust & Safety Guidelines, you will not be eligible to receive a refund.
    6. If you have not logged into the purchased course(s) or training(s).
    7. If the refund request is made after 14 days of the contract.
  • To exercise the right of withdrawal, you should inform us of your decision to withdraw by an unequivocal statement by contacting via email to info@smartlearninguk.com
  • You shall have exercised your right of withdrawal within the 14-day withdrawal period if the communication is sent by you before that period has expired. The exercise of the right of withdrawal shall terminate both parties' obligations to perform the contract. If you exercise your right of withdrawal, any ancillary contracts shall be automatically terminated.
  • If you withdraw the contract, we shall reimburse you all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision to rescind this contract in accordance with this clause.
  • We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. In any event, you do not incur any fees due to such reimbursement.
  • If you want the Services to begin during the 14-day withdrawal period, you should make an express request thereto, where you acknowledge that you will lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. If you exercise the right of withdrawal before the Services have been fully performed, you shall be liable to pay us reasonable costs, consisting of an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided until the time you have informed us of the exercise of the right of withdrawal.
  • The burden of proof of exercising the right of withdrawal in accordance with this clause shall be on you. Except as this clause provides, you shall not incur any liability due to exercising the right of withdrawal.
  • If the content you purchased is not what you were expecting, you can request, within 30 days of your purchase of the content, that Smartlearning apply a refund to your account. We reserve the right to apply your refund as a refund credit or a refund to your original payment method at our discretion.

To request a refund, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to https://www.smartlearninguk.com
  2. Open your Dashboard and select “My Courses” or “My Bundles”
  3. Find the course you want a refund for.
  4. Under the Refund Deadline column, click Get Refund. If you don't see this option, the refund deadline has passed.

When you request a refund:

You'll get a confirmation email when we get your refund request. You'll also be unenrolled from the course. If you'd like to continue in the free version of the course, you'll need to re-enroll. It can take up to 7-10 business days for funds to return to your account after a requested refund. Changes to this terms and conditions:

We may from time to time make changes to this terms and conditions. Any changes will be published here on the website (and in the case of substantive changes, will be notified to you by email) and be effective as of the date of publication (which will also be noted on the website). This terms and conditions was last updated in January 2024.
