• “Assessment and support data” including to sell and deliver course contents, and assessments, track studying progress, and create customized tests for students, providing digital learning tools, assessment feedback etc.
• “Marketing and communications data” including your preferences in receiving notification about new and updated courses, marketing from us and your communication preferences. This may include information about events such as webinars to which you or your colleagues or organisation are invited, and your personal data and preferences to the extent that this information is relevant to organising and managing those events.

  • The Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system, and platform;
  • Information about your visit to our website/Apps, such as the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL), clickstream to, through and from our website (including date and time), services viewed or searched for, page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), methods used to browse away from a page, any phone number used to call our central switchboard number, and direct dials or social media handles used to connect with our Smartlearning website; and
  • Location data which we may collect through our website/Apps and which provides your real-time location in order to provide location services (where requested or agreed to by you) to deliver content or other services that are dependent on knowing where you are. Smartlearning UK Limited takes your privacy seriously and takes every reasonable measure and precaution to protect and secure your personal data. We work hard to protect you and your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction and have several layers of security measures in place, including: SSL, TLS, encryptions, restricted access, IT authentication, firewalls, anti-virus/malware etc.

Transfers Outside the EU

Personal data in the European Union is protected by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) but some other countries may not necessarily have the same high standard of protection for your personal data. Smartlearning does not transfer or store any personal data outside the EU

How Long We Keep Your Data

Smartlearning UK Limited only ever retains personal information for as long as is necessary and we have strict review and retention policies in place to meet these obligations. We are required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed.

Where you have consented to us using your details for direct marketing, we will keep such data until you notify us otherwise and/or withdraw your consent.
